Keys of Münster
English-Speaking Masonic Lodge in Münster
The Keys of Münster Lodge is an English-speaking Masonic lodge with a long and established history in the city of Münster. Founded in 1962, the lodge is part of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasonry in Germany (GLBFG), which in turn belongs to the United Grand Lodges of Germany (VGLvD). Through this structure, the Keys of Münster Lodge is connected to a worldwide fraternity of more than six million Freemasons.
Freemasonry has existed in Münster since 1778, and since 1913 the Masonic home has been located at Diepenbrockstraße 30. Over the decades, the Keys of Münster Lodge has welcomed members from many nations and cultures who live or work in the region. Regardless of background, belief, or profession, the lodge brings together men who value integrity, respect, and personal responsibility, and who seek a place of fellowship in an international, English-speaking environment.
Making Good Men Better
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious and non-political fraternal organisations. Its traditions are inspired by the medieval stonemasons who built cathedrals and castles, and its focus has always been on character, self-improvement, and service to others. The Keys of Münster Lodge continues this tradition by offering its members a structured yet welcoming space for reflection, learning, and friendship.
The lodge meets regulary a year. Each meeting consists of a ceremonial part, followed by time spent together in a relaxed social setting over a shared meal. These evenings strengthen bonds between members, encourage open conversation, and provide opportunities to support charitable causes. The Keys of Münster Lodge is not a secretive organisation; questions are always welcome. For those who are curious and wish to learn more, we invite you to get in touch and begin a conversation.
